This new Mountain Training 2 day Rock Skills Learn to Trad Lead Climbing course is based in the Wye Valley. It is desirable if you have some experience of climbing outdoors but not essential as you will be taught everything you need to know to become an independent trad lead climber. Meeting at Symonds Yat Rock car park near Christchurch at 9.15 a.m. Each day finishes around 5.30 Bring change for the car park, a rucksack to carry gear so you are hands free on the approach to the rock face, lots of warm layers, sturdy shoes and plenty to eat and drink.

We had a great time. We thought in the car on the way home that one thing we should do having climbed the pitch is to reclimb it leading the pitch we seconded.
