Outdoor days can be suited to individual or group needs.
Options include:
Single Pitch Routes |
Following routes at venues and route grades mutually arranged. The clients will learn belay, climbing, rope work and abseil techniques as well as how to remove placed gear and use twin ropes in various environments, e.g. sea cliffs. |
Multi Pitch Routes |
Climbing 2 – 5 pitch routes at venues and route grades that have been mutually arranged. The clients will learn belay, climbing, rope work and abseil techniques as well as developing confidence and awareness of safety on stances in more remote regions e.g. North Wales |
Sport routes |
Following routes at venues and grades that have been mutually arranged. The clients will learn belay, climbing, rope work and abseil techniques, using prefixed bolts on mainly single pitch routes in limestone regions. |
Leading using
|
Learning how to place appropriate traditional gear using features in the rock to keep the leader safe, the importance of body position, clipping gear using twin ropes, setting up belays and belaying bringing up a second. |
Sport Climbing Lead Course |
A 2 hour indoor introduction followed by a full day outside learning how to clip bolts using body position, strength, good use of rope and ensuring safe use of lower off. A final 2 hour indoor consolidation session completes the course. £80 per person, minimum of two people. |
Set-ups |
Learning improvised rescues, how to set-up bottom and top ropes in a safe and considerate manner on single pitch routes. |
SPA Refreshers |
Practising individual lead climbing up to severe standard, planning and executing sessions appropriate to clients abilities, executing set-ups, executing releasable abseils and ensuring safe technique at all times. |
ML Refreshers |
Navigation practise including micro and night nav, confidence rope work, emergency rope work, camp skills, the weather, appropriate clothing and equipment and access. |
